I hate rich people...
Monday. 12.29.03 2:33 am
Ughh. If anything bothers me more in the world, it would have to be the super rich upper class civilians who could buy a whole fucking country if they wanted to.

I was watching an article on VH1, about how much money celebrities makes each year, and how they spend it on their vacations and whatnot. It makes me sick.

Whether it goes from Martha Stewart buying a hamburger worth $50, to Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt buying a whole fucking island to themselves for a week, it's all so ridiculous. They need to figure out that there are other people in the world who would love to have not even 1/8 of that. There are people out there who don't even have houses, let alone fucking islands for Christ's sake.

THEN there are people who go fucking insane when they have an MnM in their green MnM bowl (and green only, mind you) that is FUCKING CHIPPED! They'll throw a fucking tantrum, chipping all of the other God forsaken MnM's in the bowl, and ask for a whole new bowl, OR ELSE.

Then there's this show, The Simple Life. I'm sure you've all heard of this. Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are two rich city girls stuck in Arkansas for some amount of time, which I'm not sure of. This show may have taught a very small, but very valuable lesson to the girls. But to the other celebrities out there who have more values and money, it would make them want more and prettier stuff out there, so it reassures them that they're as far away from that situation as possible.

As I started to write this, I was talking to Lillian on the phone. So I mentioned the show I had watched, and the first name that popped into her head was: J.Lo

Now Jennifer Lopez is supposedly some kind of middle school girl idol. Well, any conformist-type girl for that matter, every normal girl wants to be her. Or be as close as they can to her. (Take one of the 5 hundred Jessicas in our school, for example). As Lillian pointed out, Jennifer Lopez spends millions and millions of dollars, on a fucking bottle of lotion. But has she yet to contribute any of thatr money to the poor and needy out there? Let's think about that. Okay, yes, she voiced out an inspirational commercial on MTV, and I'll give her a single nickel of credit for that. But what about those millions of dollars that she makes from stealing money from preteen girls who buy the perfume that smells bad just because they have been brainwashed to think anything made be J.Lo is bound to be cool? She takes it all and spends it on a fucking milkshake.

Honestly. If there were anything else in the world I would like to spend my millions of stolen money on, it would HAVE to be a coconut crème milkshake. Hint the sarcasm. Ben Affleck offered and gave out more then $200 just so the restaurant would make J.Lo the kind of milkshake she wanted. JUST ORDER A DIFFERENT FLAVOR DAMNIT! Obviously, she’s not open to trying new things.

I hate Jennifer Lopez; she pisses me off and deserves to die soon.

But you know what? I have pity for all of those rich icons, or most of them. They know of no meaning in their lives except for money and clothes. There are the irregular individuals who put family and God in front of their money. Though it can be tough to tell the difference between those who truly mean it, and those who say it just to make themselves look good.

I think poor people have it all better off then any rich person. Regardless of the material shit and such.

Poor people know exactly what it’s like to live without the extravagant and luxurious. They also know how to work hard for what little they do own, and value it to the very last paint chip of whatever it happens to be. Let it be a cup or a car, they value EVERYTHING they own.

Rich people couldn’t live a day without a personal protein shake maker. If something gets chipped, they’ll call one of their personal assistants and have them order a brand new one.

Living in Carmel doesn't automatically make anyone rich, by the way. So I am not being hypocritical. Swimming in money is just a stereotype, which happens to be heavily found within our fellow peers.

I think all of the rich people in the world need to hand over all of their money to the third world countries, just so they can see how much they've taken for granted, and really see what they’ve been missing out on.
