The last three winks of paradise.

I look at the future of this planet as an extreme pessimist. I feel we have all reached our highest point on Earth. I say if this is bad, it will only get worst.

I've been researching a lot of the history of education for my occupational paper. I've found that school has gotten harder, and the worst thing to fear in school punishments is being expelled. Depending on the situations of their home lives, kids feel they can push the rules as far as they can, just to see how far.

But with rules such as the ones we have, who could blame them? "I got kicked out of my school, MAN I must be living on the edge!" Too bad they didn't stay long enough to know better, or at least receive the help they need.

Looking at it realistically, we shouldn’t be blaming the kids. We should be blaming the parents, and their parents. We are left with examples to follow by people we spend most time with. Whether it’s parents, grandparents or friends. The company (we) choose to keep, affects every individual involved in either a positive or negative light; and traits are usually passed on.

Most people I know, and many others out there will agree with me here: Parents should be allowed to beat their children. Although there is always a fine line between beat and torture. If parents were allowed to beat their children, we wouldn't have to deal with the brats we do now. Kids would realize that there are indeed, other people in the world beside themselves.

In fact, the other day in English, we were all wondering how in "bloody" hell Russell (the finger one) got a positive referral in Clifford. Mr. Clifford replies with a simple, “Russell hasn’t been as much of a pain in the ass recently.” Jessica (which one will remain anonymous) shouts at Clifford, “What the hell? Mr. Clifford! I think YOU are the pain in the ass! Russell STOLE the positive referral that belongs to ME!” I sat there with my mouth open in disbelief; I never realized people could be so disrespectful.

Coincidentally, later that period we had a discussion about other people, and how they are brought up. Clifford is talking about how he wonders how things will turn out in the future, knowing how people (teenagers) act these days. The same Jessica says, “It’s not our generation’s fault that we’re selfish, rude and disrespectful, our parents are the ones who taught us everything.” Funny thing is she was pointing her comment of being selfish, rude and disrespectful towards Chris and his incredibly careless family; forgetting what astonishing remark she said earlier in the day.

Also within my research, I've read how much the population of children alone has increased within 100 years. In 30 years, the whole population of the world will DOUBLE the size it is right now.
I’m reached my writers block on this subject. >.<

So the point of this business- I am not looking forward to the future.
